As much as I enjoy all of your work, with my favorite horror story being They All Died Screaming, The Ruin Season will always be my favorite. It's a devastating journey through the worst of a man's struggles with his mental health. It's raw and it's devastating.
As for my Thanksgiving viewing, I grew up in Los Angeles from the age of 12 when my family moved there. One of my best memories is that for some strange reason, one of the few local TV channels (this was not quite pre-cable in the mid 80s but I watched a lot of regular TV since I didn't have a cable back x in my room) ran a Thanksgiving Twilight Zone marathon. I remember hanging out in my room watching those old b&w episodes while mom made turkey and trimmings for our small family to feast on. One year, we visited a friend's house for dinner and they had it playing in the background for awhile. It was so oddly comforting.
So I will fire up VUDU, where I have a digital copy of the entire series, in my room and let it run for the day while I'm passing back and forth from other duties. This time, my husband will be fixing turkey and trimmings for our small family and I will also feast on nostalgia.
Love your books. I will support your work for the rest of my life. I have Virgins at the top of my TBR and I'm gifting myself a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas so that I have no excuse not to catch up on my favorite authors latest book. Happy Thanksgiving, Kris.
I'm sure I speak for all of your fans when I say we are glad you stuck to it! Thanks for all the great reads and Happy Thanksgiving! 🤘
A Happy Thanksgiving to you and thank you for all the great book / stories!
